Larry Thompson

Using the same principles invented by Johann Gutenberg over 500 years ago, Larry combines metal, paper, ink and wood to produce books and prints in his Merrickville South studio. All printing is done by hand on the Vandercook S-219AB proofing press using hand set metal type.

Books are hand bound in a variety of designs and styles. Illustrations are integral to the books, and these are normally original designs hand cut from linoleum or wood. Limited edition sets and singles of illustrations are also matted and/or framed for sale.
